Personal trainer Joe is best known at Maximum Fitness for his deadlifts and his backflips- as well as being a fantastic coach!
Joe’s main aim is to help and encourage his clients to create a new positive mindset towards a new, healthier lifestyle. He also makes sure that he teaches them about training and nutrition so that they gain a better overall understanding of health and fitness.
His favourite part of the job is the variety of people that he has the opportunity to work with each and every day. He says that it’s rewarding to be part of their journey, and to watch as they become more confident after every session. Joe sees his biggest achievement as his clients’ progress.
Joe’s top tip for getting the most out of your health and wellbeing journey is to find something that you enjoy doing. He says that consistency is more important than perfection, and if you enjoy what you’re doing you’ll be more likely to stick to it!

Joe is a fantastic PT. From the first session he completely took on board what my goals were, namely training for ultra running, and from then on created a specific plan to support that. He is motivating and encouraging, always friendly and smiling. In addition, and most importantly for me, he is keenly observant of the movements I am making and suggests small adjustments which make the exercises safer and more effective. I am getting stronger every week and his targeted routine made my first ultra more manageable! The stability and strength gained in PT paid off and I have remained injury free. I would highly recommend Joe as a PT. Also - His knowledge of physiology is evident throughout the training and is very impressive.
